Out of Chaos
In Greek mythology, Chaos was the first Goddess to emerge at the dawn of creation. Her swirling ethers gave birth to all other essences. The word khaos means "gap" or "chasm" being the space between heaven and earth.
Late classical authors redefined Khaos as the chaotic mix of elements that existed in the primordial universe. The modern English word "chaos" derives from this.
When a Cycle ends and an Age turns, Chaos is a sure sign that the shift has hit the fan. She arrives on cue, flawlessly hitting her mark, as what was is demolished. Fractals of new light burst forth from her, swarm, and follow fresh trajectories. This is happening for and within each of us right now.
In conversations this past week, frustration and confusion have come up quite a bit. “Tough feelings” have been another common theme. In simple terms, what is ‘coming up’ is what is leaving. What feels most difficult is what we have unconsciously held onto in some way. None of us wants to hear that, particularly when pain is involved. In my experience, denial never improves any circumstance. What works is to acknowledge, accept, and release. Let Source handle the ‘how’ of it. That second part? Usually, the tough nut.
The most common thing I hear from the voices of clinging is, “I’m angry about this! Why doesn’t it go away? Why doesn’t { insert divine being here} take it away?” In all fairness, the true awareness of those in whom these voices roam doesn’t feel that way at all. Thus the frustration. There is a razor’s edge between owning an emotion and letting it release. One can learn to dance upon this blade, though it sometimes cuts. It depends on one’s footwear, I suppose. I have always liked soft, natural soles {souls} as any misstep can be felt and corrected before damage occurs.
I remember reading Somerset Maugham’s The Razor’s Edge when I was about 12 or 13 years old. I loved the story, whose protagonist became my first ‘hero.’ In the end, {spooiler alert} when Larry admits to his awakening, he talks about wanting to live again and again and have every possible kind of experience. Gazing out into the wood behind our house, in love with its divine chaos and in awe of the orchestration thereof, I could not concur. The natural world? Absolutely. Maybe life as a fox or groundhog or…. infinite possibilities for honing various skills…but the human world and its cacophony of tempestuous koyaanisqatsi ? Heavens to the no! It felt like my ‘hero’ had just taken a header into a teacup. Why? Enter the Denial. {NOT a dragon} What definitions and concepts lived there?
My favorite line from Star Wars: The Last Jedi is, “Why are YOU here?” Luke questions the young Rae, who is so certain about so many things yet terrified of what flows through her. What drew her to that sacred place at the turning of a tide? It is the right question. Luke does not have the answer, and he knows it. He also lives in a foggy denial of self-condemnation. Yoda, as ever was, sets him straight. He burns down the original Jedi temple. Grins.
These stories exemplify what is happening on Earth right now. Gaia is up-leveling, and we are part of this process. Mental and emotional frustration and confusion arise from our thought patterns and habits of behavior, as these patterns persist in their efforts to ‘be the hero’ and take us through what is un-navigable by what was.
We are not our patterns. We are not our thoughts. We are the pure light, birthed from the re-emergence of Chaos, that creates worlds.
Watching the moonset this morning, I am awed by each ripple, current, and swell of what is and what is to come.
A few tips:
~ Focus on the beauty and the wonder without embracing the ostrich position. In other words, embrace the feeling of “This is going to be wonderful. I don’t know how, but it is, and it will.” Use your own words, of course.
~ Speak your truth, no matter what. Or stay silent in the face of what is in your face. Remember, the light within you IS intelligence. It knows how best to express.
~ Live your life, not someone else’s. How long do you think you have?
Now that I have re-minded myself of these truths and the moonset and sunrise are embracing, I think I’ll start my day.
You’ve got this! Let go, Starstreams! Be the morphing magic that you are!
