Shifting Perceptions
Perception is everything.
It can help to remember that all perceptions form from Infinite points of view. As we gestate and our distortions dissolve, so do our lenses of perception. The more we insist on seeing life in certain ways, the more we create opportunities for Source to demolish those narrow bands of perception.
Lyrics from the musical Jesus Christ, Superstar, ran through my head yesterday. “…I never noticed that. What are you staring at? Haven’t you ever seen an accident before?…” The lyrics, if I remember correctly, are part of the scourging scene. I do remember the feeling that there was a deeper perception there, waiting to surface. Something had always felt ‘off’ about the whole crucifixion drama. These lines made me grin. Cosmic perception has a way of doing that.
Did the event happen, and did it happen in this way? Always a great question. Our human version of ‘proof and evidence’ is always fatally flawed. Meaning such perceptions carry within them their own demise.
This week is another such perceptual shift. Our gestations and meltdowns are creating crises of perception.
What was your active perceptual state around the end of May? Or yesterday? If you journal, checking in with those states of being can help. If a daily or semi-daily journal isn’t your thing, don’t look back! Ask Source to show you the state of your perceptual field. What lenses are melting away? What new vistas are opening? If you can’t seem to make sense of them yet, good! Yet another opportunity to let go!
For the whole of my life, just when a point of view seems to settle, Source makes waves. “That wasn’t accurate at all, was it?” is a correction I am familiar with integrating. So will you be, and quickly. Our knee-jerk reactive states are up for recognition and review. So are our highest and most closely held values. What will the distillation be? Only Source knows for sure. And, as always, the Great Mother holds her cards in her heart. We will learn to operate from this aperture as well. And, perhaps, allow ourselves to move into that realm and venture onward.
The Infinite has infinite viewing points. I have written about this before in a Medium article, “What is Infinite POV?” The post was written in the year before the lockdowns, before the ‘health crisis’ that changed the human world. Did it? Circumstances certainly changed for most of us. Did our perspectives shift along with those circumstances? Have our perspectives altered in alignment with the view through Source’s eyes?
What if the entire world changed? What if we had absolutely no clue how that was happening or even what was happening? What if that is already true?
What if a shift like this one is understood only by immersion within its waves? What if that is the point and the adventure?
As we approach the second lunation of this month, the closest perigee moon of 2023, what is being reflected to us? What is left of our distorted funhouse mirrors? What can be seen clearly, perhaps for the first time, or uniquely to our experience?
Are all part of us ready and willing to dive into a new adventure? We are well able, no matter what circumstances might project. Remember that projections are funhouse mirrors, one and all. As we {and others} project, so life reflects.
What if this transit dissolves it all? How, then, shall we perceive?
